Digicom is Laserfiche VAR of the Month for May

Since becoming a Laserfiche VAR in December 2004, Digicom/Ireland’s document management solution operations have been growing like the economy of Ireland as a whole—impressively well.

“We are establishing ourselves as capable solution providers at a very good time,” says Steve Roberts, the firm’s sales manager for document management. “With the economy continuing to grow rapidly here, more and more clients are seeing the value in having better control of their documents after the scanning process. In addition, companies are looking to electronic document management as a good option for dealing with increasing regulations.”

Roberts believes that Digicom is well-positioned to capitalize on these trends for two reasons. “First, we are totally committed to selling solutions rather than just products. Digicom’s most notable Laserfiche-powered project to date is the deployment of an enterprise-wide document management solution to handle all documents connected with the construction of a massive new water treatment plant that will be providing 75% of Dublin’s water supply within the next five years.

“Laserfiche was chosen because it offered competitive and transparent pricing, a range of modules and could be customized specifically for the new water treatment plant project,” Roberts says. “It was a phased, two-week deployment involving several levels of user and group security, multiple Quick Fields sessions, multiple Import Agent sessions and Audit Trail reports. The solution is already having a clear and positive impact on the project.”

Looking ahead, Digicom is on track to triple their Laserfiche-based sales this year compared with last year and is adding to their sales/business development team. “Existing clients are increasing their usage of Laserfiche and we are becoming known in the market as an expert provider of ‘holistic’ document management solutions.”
